Cash Balancer ("we," "our," or "the App") is a personal budgeting application designed for young people ages 16 and older. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Information We Collect

Cash Balancer collects only the information you voluntarily provide, including:

• Your email address (for account creation and login via Firebase Authentication)
• Your first name (during onboarding)
• Financial goals, motivations, and spending preferences you select
• Income amounts and sources you enter
• Expense amounts, categories, merchants, and notes
• Budget categories and limits you set
• Debt balances, types, and payment information
• Photos of receipts or paychecks you choose to capture (for OCR text extraction)

We do not collect, access, or store:

• Bank account credentials or financial login information
• Social Security numbers or government-issued identification
• Location data, contacts, or browsing history
• Any data from third-party financial institutions or services

3. How Your Data Is Stored

Your financial data stays on your device. Cash Balancer uses Apple's on-device storage technology (SwiftData) to save your financial information directly on your iPhone or iPad. Your financial data is never uploaded to our servers or any third-party platform. Your email address and encrypted password are securely managed by Firebase Authentication (a Google service) solely for account creation and login purposes. We do not operate our own servers that store user data.

4. How We Use Your Information

The information you enter is used solely within the App on your device to:

• Display your personalized budget and financial overview
• Track income, expenses, and cash flow
• Calculate debt payoff plans and strategies
• Provide educational financial content
• Extract text from receipt and paycheck photos using OCR

5. Third-Party Services

Cash Balancer uses Firebase Authentication (operated by Google) solely for secure account creation and login. Firebase processes only your email address and password for authentication purposes. We do not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information with any third parties. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is performed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework — no images or text are sent to external services.

6. Children's Privacy

Cash Balancer is designed for users ages 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 16 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will assist you in deleting that information.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all of your data at any time through the App's Settings by using the "Reset All Data" option. Since all data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the App will also permanently remove all associated data.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all of your data (it is always available within the App)
• Delete your data at any time via Settings or by uninstalling the App
• Use the App without providing any financial information (core features remain accessible)

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the App and on our website at cashbalancer.com/privacy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
